I am a music specialist and the music I write is original, tested on children and for the less confident teacher. My aim is to provide you with everything you need to fulfil Topic requirements and those of the National Curriculum (without having to prepare anything.) I provide Power Points/videos and give you mp3s and lyrics. Notation is sometimes given. The instrumental parts are dead easy!

Listening to the news this morning , I heard an interview with Anna Deutcher. She is a musical prodigy and a delightful child! This is just what I need to inspire years 3 and 4 today and maybe give them an antidote to "Classical music is not cool" You need to be able to view YouTube in your classroom to use this PPT in order to hear her compositions and she her being interviewed.

This is a story on video or PowerPoint and video about a spider who wanted his own song. He listened to all the other mini beasts singing and desperately wanted his own song . The idea is to "hook" the children into making their own songs. There is a teacher's guide showing what learning objectives might be encountered. After the story, there is a follow up song using all the creature's individual songs from the story. e.g. high/low/fast/slow/voice expression etc. The story can also be used in Assembly/PHSE as an in road to "finding your voice" it would be a good starter for writing too. Included in the resource is a video PPT mp3 teachers notes

This little song was inspired by Oliver Jeffers book “How to catch a star” .It is about a little boy who is desperate to catch a star. You’ll have to read the book to find out what happens! It can be used as a starting point for an Assembly with scope for movement and triangle players. The song has a triangle part that the children are encouraged to listen out for and then play. I’ve also written a song based on the book “Lost and found “which is also by Oliver Jeffries. https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/a-song-about-friendship-with-percussion-parts-non-specialist-11059683 The resource has 1. A video of the song 2. A PowerPoint if you should wish to add your own stuff! 3. chords and lyrics 4. Backing tracks with and without triangle. A vocal track 5. A completed example of a worksheet and a blank one

The setting is in a flying saucer. An alien looks down on the multi-tasking feats of a young mother and ponders. It’s also a starter for an art piece “What would the alien look like”? Musicians have an opportunity to play the riff which is for more advanced pupils but there is percussion for those less confident . In the pack 1. Animated PowerPoint of the song 2. Lyrics 3. 2 mp3s vocal and backing 4. Print out of riff 5. Video of the song

The 'Ode of Remembrance' is an ode taken from Laurence Binyon's poem 'For the Fallen', which was first published in The Times in September 1914.

Ernest Miller Hemingway (July 21, 1899 – July 2, 1961) was an American author and journalist. His economical and understated style had a strong influence on 20th-century fiction, while his life of adventure and his public image influenced later generations.
